We are pleased to announce that Froglife, a long-standing partner of the Amphibian Survival Alliance, will be hosting their Online Research Conference on Wednesday, October 16th, from 13:30 to 16:30 BST. This free event will highlight key research and conservation efforts in the field of amphibians and reptiles, with presentations from experts across academia and applied conservation.

The conference will feature:

  • The impact of Froglife’s work on disadvantaged young people, presented by Dr. Jitka Vseteckova (Open University) and Jenny Tse-Leon (Froglife)
  • Monitoring amphibians – an example from the garden using AI, with Dr. Silviu Petrovan (University of Cambridge)
  • Trends in reptile and amphibian records over the past 20 years, explored by Dr. Andrew Smart (Froglife) and Rhiannydd Stock (National Biodiversity Network)
  • Practical conservation strategies such as installing basking banks for UK reptiles, with Dr. Brian Pickles (University of Reading) and Jenny Tse-Leon
  • And so much more!

The event will conclude with reflections from Jules Howard, Froglife Patron, and a closing acknowledgment by Dr. Andrew Smart.
