The Amphibian Survival Alliance (ASA) is excited to announce the latest call for applications for the Future Leaders of Amphibian Conservation Program! This initiative is designed to support early-career conservationists who are making meaningful contributions to amphibian conservation and are eager to expand their impact.

Through this program, ASA provides financial support for professional development, ensuring that passionate conservationists—especially those from amphibian-rich, resource-poor regions—have access to the training and resources needed to advance their careers and drive real change in amphibian conservation.

Program Details

This funding call provides support for capacity-building initiatives through course registration fee coverage (up to USD 570). Selected applicants will receive financial assistance to enroll in specialized training programs in conservation leadership, project management, stakeholder engagement, and more.

Available Courses for Funding Support

Participants may apply for funding to enroll in one of the following approved training programs:

  1. Certificate of Wildlife Conservation – Australian Online Courses (Flexible enrollment)
  2. Stakeholder Engagement for Wildlife Conservation – WildTeam UK (March 25 – April 29, 2025)
  3. Project Management for Wildlife Conservation – WildTeam UK (Late April 2025, dates TBC)
  4. Project Planning for Wildlife Conservation – WildTeam UK (Early June 2025, dates TBC)
  5. Leadership Development for Conservation Practitioners – Durrell Academy (May 2025, dates TBC)

Who Can Apply?

ASA welcomes applications from individuals who:

  • Are in the early stages of their careers and have demonstrated a commitment to amphibian conservation
  • Have a track record of involvement in conservation initiatives with measurable impact
  • Are looking to enhance their professional skills and knowledge to further amphibian conservation efforts
  • Are from amphibian-rich, resource-poor countries (priority consideration)

Application Process

  1. Review the eligibility criteria and course options.
  2. Complete the online application form and attach all required documents.
  3. Submit by February 28, 2025, 11:59 PM UTC. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
