The 2026 World Amphibian Photography Contest is officially open. For the next eight weeks, photographers around the world will share images that help the public see amphibians more clearly, and through that, more carefully.
The 2026 contest is built on three pillars: clear ethical guidelines, a photographer's checklist that entrants complete with each submission, and an authenticity review of every image. The framework holds the contest to the same standard ASA expects of anyone working with amphibians in the field.
Five categories this year:
Prizes: A $1,000 Grand Prize, four $200 Category Winners, and an Honorable Mention for Ethical Photography. $1,800 in total awards, plus recognition that travels.
How it works: Pay your $25 entry fee, then submit up to 10 images at amphibian.pics with your Transaction ID. Bios for our seven judges live on the contest page.
Entries close: Monday, July 6, 2026.
Open to photographers worldwide; see full rules for eligibility details.
Enter Now: amphibian.pics · Full rules and details: amphibians.org/photography-contest
Entry fees directly fund amphibian conservation through the Amphibian Survival Alliance.
