About this program

Supported by Synchronicity Earth's Amphibian Endowment Fund, Disease Mitigation Grants back projects developing effective strategies against infectious diseases in amphibians. We focus on work with real-world application, especially efforts that benefit amphibians in lower and middle-income countries.

What we fund

• Development of disease management strategies
• Research that informs policy on disease mitigation
• Collaborative efforts across scientific and conservation disciplines
• Biosecurity measures to prevent disease spread

Eligibility

• Open to both organizations and individuals
• Organizations must have a primary focus on amphibian conservation
• Projects should develop or inform strategies for minimizing disease impacts
• Link to Amphibian Conservation Action Plan priorities preferred
• Preference for projects in developing countries led by or including local partners
• Disease prevention strategies and screening protocols required
• Match funding prioritized
