About the Opportunity

The CCEG is seeking an exceptional Postdoctoral Researcher to lead a project investigating cutting-edge approaches to restoring amphibian populations in chytrid-impacted landscapes. The successful candidate will join a team of world-leading researchers in amphibian-chytrid dynamics and benefit from the collaborative environment of the Centre, which is committed to producing high-impact science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Chief Investigators and project partners to achieve project objectives.
  • Co-supervise Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students where appropriate.
  • Prepare and deliver research reports and publications.
  • Participate in meetings, seminars, and workshops.
  • Present results at national and international conferences.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a PhD in ecology, biological data analysis, or an aligned discipline. Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Demonstrated excellence in ecological analysis.
  • Strong publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Experience in amphibian ecology and/or chytrid disease studies is highly regarded.

Supervision and Development

The position will be supervised by Associate Professor Simon Clulow, Professor Richard Duncan, and Dr. Ben Scheele (Australian National University). There will be ample opportunity to develop additional research questions that align with your skill sets and interests.
