TGIFF! Thank goodness it’s FROG FRIDAY! Which means it’s almost time for the weeeeeekend! This beautiful little frog is a Water Lily Frog (Hyperolius pusillus). A small flat green Hyperolius (males 16-20 mm) from the eastern lowlands. It has a translucent green dorsum, sometimes with dark dots. A fine dark canthal and dorsolateral line is often present. The males have white throats, and those of the females are green. The Water Lily Frog has golden eyes with horizontal pupils.

These frogs are found in open swamp vegetation in the eastern lowlands from southernmost coastal Somalia to KwaZulu-Natal Province in South Africa.
