With Fall now upon us, I have been getting numerous correspondences from individuals who have found salamanders in their homes, basements, and pool areas. The amphibians are looking for areas to over-winter. Unfortunately, when entering human dwellings, salamanders may expose themselves to areas that can become too dry, or expose themselves to chlorine. Both of which can kill them. They may also become trapped.

As such, I decided to launch a new page on my Save The Salamanders website to direct people on what to do when they find a salamander: http://www.savethesalamanders.com/found-a-salamander.html
