Created by Dr. Patricia C. Wright in 2003 as a modern facility to help both indigenous people and the international community better understand the value of conservation in Madagascar and around the world through research, education and outreach, Centre ValBio (www.centrevalbio.org) is located adjacent to one of the most beautiful rainforests in southeastern Madagascar, Ranomafana.

The new Namanabe Hall was inaugurated in July of 2012 to further promote world-class research in one of the world’s most biologically diverse and unique ecosystems and hosts dormitories, laboratories, and excellent workshop and conference facilities, including internet. In November 2014, Centre ValBio will be the venue of the ACSAM2.
